NewLife Checker

NewLife Checker is a Windows desktop utility for SAMP/NewLife RP moderation workflows. It combines local anti-cheat checks, Discord-based authorization, and remote update distribution.

Prerequisites

• Windows 10/11
• Visual Studio 2022 (or compatible) with .NET desktop workload
• .NET Framework 4.8.1 targeting pack

Local Setup

1. Clone the repository.
2. Open SAMPChecker.sln in Visual Studio.
3. Configure App.config with your own Discord values:
   • WebhookUrl
   • AdminCodeChannelId
   • AuthChannelId
   • DiscordBotToken
   • UpdateChannelId
4. Build and run in Debug or Release.

Build (CLI)

MSBuild.exe SAMPChecker.csproj /p:Configuration=Release

Compiled artifacts are generated under bin/Release/.

Security

• Never commit real tokens, webhooks, or private channel IDs.
• If a token was exposed, rotate it immediately in Discord Developer Portal.
• Keep production secrets outside source control.

Release Process

1. Update assembly version in Properties/AssemblyInfo.cs.
2. Build Release.
3. Publish NewLifeChecker.exe through your update channel workflow.
4. Create a GitHub Release with a matching tag (example: v1.0.0).
